Social Responsibility
We strive to be a company that enhances the quality of life for everyone we interact with. Our team is committed to doing business in a respectful and mutually beneficial way in every destination we operate.
We actively seek to share tourism opportunities, and some of the benefits that come with them, with the local communities we work in. Our goal is for all our activities to have a positive and lasting impact on the local economy.
Making a difference in local communities
We aim to create meaningful opportunities within the local communities where we operate. Whenever possible, we collaborate with local individuals and businesses for key services, from board rentals and repairs to beach transport, surf lessons, boat trips, and more.
By working together, we help support the local economy and build lasting relationships in the places we call our second homes.
Responsibility to our guests
We maintain a small coach-to-student ratio to ensure our guests’ safety and to provide personalized attention in the water. We limit our groups to 12 guests to enhance respect and overall experience quality.
Our lead surf coaches are required to complete a lifesaving course and undergo training in our emergency response program.

1% For the Planet
We joined the 1% for the Planet movement in 2019 because, simply put, not giving back didn’t make sense. As founder Yvon Chouinard said, “This is not philanthropic. This should be a cost of doing business. It’s paying rent for our use of the planet.”
We want to be proactive in protecting the places we love so that we can all continue to enjoy incredible surf destinations in clean, thriving oceans for years to come.
We donate 1% of our sales from both surf trips and online coaching to non-profit organizations focused on ocean conservation and cleanup. Currently, our donations support four organizations: the Surfrider Foundation, Coral Reef Alliance, Ocean Conservancy, and Save the Waves Coalition.
